How this works
  • Objective. Open the Strait of Hormuz (Strait Traffic 85% or above) and make the presidency great again (Popular Support above 50%) by 3 November 2026 to win the midterms.
  • Tools. Use the powers vested in you as President - Truth Social, and the might of the greatest military in the history of the country, maybe ever - to move markets, damage Iranian capability and appease our greatest ally. One order a day, and a quiet day is one of the orders.
  • You lose instantly if Cabinet Support hits 0 (the 25th Amendment), if Bibi's Happiness hits 0 (the island footage is leaked), or if Popular Support hits 0 (an angry mob breaches the White House).
  • Election day has three outcomes. Strait open and polling above 50% wins the game. Strait open but polling at or under 50% loses anyway. Strait still shut loses even biglyer.
  • Strait traffic is throttled by Iranian strength and belligerence together. Bombing lowers strength but raises belligerence; going quiet lowers belligerence but lets strength recover. You need both down at once.
  • Oil and the S&P only move on weekdays. Crude above $85 costs you polling every day, and your support craters faster the higher it goes. Past $100, or with the S&P below $700, all three support meters bleed.
  • A booming market wins elections. Above $750 the S&P lifts popular and cabinet support every day, and the further above it closes the faster they climb. This is the main way to drag your polling over the 50% you need.
  • Bibi loses patience roughly 2.2 points a day unless you bomb something or post a threat. From 50, that is about three weeks of inaction before the footage leaks. Note the squeeze this creates once the strait is open: everything that keeps him happy raises belligerence, and belligerence drags traffic back down.
  • Above 50 belligerence Iran starts taking shots at shipping. Whether they land is luck; how much it hurts depends on their strength.
  • Military strikes can be intercepted. The odds of a strike failing rise with Iranian strength and with how well-defended the target is - on day one an attack on an oil field is turned back about 40% of the time and an attack on a patrol boat about 20%; against a broken Iran later in the game, hardly ever. A failed strike does no damage but still hardens Tehran, costs you War Support, spooks the market - and embarrasses you in front of the Cabinet, who watched it fail in real time.
  • War Support is leverage. Below 40% every bomb costs about 3% more political capital for each point you are under the line - strike at rock bottom and the bill more than doubles. The Cabinet's bill climbs two and a half times faster than the public's: keep bombing with the country against it and the 25th Amendment stops being a hypothetical.
  • The country gets bored. Post the same style of Truth three days running and from the third day it lands at a fraction of its effect. Change the subject - a different style of post, a strike, a quiet day - and they start listening again.

You inherit a closed Strait of Hormuz, crude near $100 and a midterm election 184 days away. Each day you give one order - move the fleet, hit a target, talk to Tehran, or post about it - and the country, the markets, Tehran and Jerusalem all answer back. Win by reopening the strait and holding your polling above 50% on 3 November.
